How to Clean a Mattress Without Damaging It

Your mattress goes through a lot. From spills and sweat to everyday dust, it’s no wonder it needs a little care every now and then. Start with a Fresh Slate

Give It a Good Hoover

Mattresses collect more than you’d like to imagine - dust, crumbs, even pet hair if you’ve got furry friends. This quick step instantly makes the bed feel fresher.

Handle Stains Gently

Don’t Forget the Sides and Base

Most people only focus on the top, but dust and grime also cling to the mattress sides and even the divan base. Give those areas a quick vacuum too. Not only does it look better, but it helps keep allergens and dust mites at bay.

Keep It Cleaner for Longer

Regular care makes all the difference:

  • Wash your bedding once a week to stop sweat and skin cells from building up.

  • Rotate the mattress every few months so it wears evenly.

  • Invest in a good mattress protector - it’s a simple way to block stains and allergens while still letting the mattress breathe.
